How far along? 21 Weeks 1 day
Size of baby? about 7 inches and 13 ounces
Total weight gain: about 2 lbs according to my scale-who knows according to the dr's scale
Maternity clothes? My sister sent me a bunch of maternity clothes that are way cuter than my regular clothes, so I've been wearing them most days. I can still fit in al my regular clothes though
Stretch marks? None, super itchy skin all the time though
Sleep: Great
Best moment this past week: Spending the day with my little family. We really didn't do much but it was nice to have a relaxing weekend
Miss Anything? Not really
Movement: She moves all the time and is starting to get stronger. She definitely likes kicking my bladder just like her sister did
Food cravings: Fruit and hot chocolate yesterday and today
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the normal morning sickness. I didn't take my pills for 2 nights and thought I was in the clear but no such luck. My body isn't quite ready to go off them yet
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: Last Thursday I went running with a friend and ended up having to stop halfway through because I started getting crampy and my stomach was really tight. I finished our run walking the rest of the way. I don't know if it was because I hadn't had enough to drink that day or if it was from the running itself. I was going to try again on Saturday before deciding if I should stop running but ended up going with a stroller and I didn't have the energy to do anything more than walking. I'm going again next week and then we'll see how I do
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Both
Looking forward to: taking a nap this weekend ha
NOT Looking forward to: I can't really think of anything right now
This pregnancy so far has been pretty good. This week I have been really tired so I've been taking it easy the past two nights. I have been able to work out almost every day this pregnancy and I'm very grateful. It's definitely helped in not gaining weight and feeling pretty good.
Riley has had a pretty good week, kind of moody but good for the most part. She's become extra clingy this week which is kind of hard when I'm trying to get something done and all she wants is for me to hold her. She's also being a bit more difficult to put to sleep. Normally she's out really quick but she is taking up to an hour this past week and she's been weird and won't sleep unless one of us is sitting by her. Since she's not in a crib she will just get up and start knocking on the door if we try leaving her. This weekend I'm going to try just letting her cry it out a bit and every time she gets out of her bed having her get back in. Not sure what would be best. I am not a fan of this stage she's going through
Tony started baseball this week. He's the freshman coach this year so that'll be good for him to have more responsibility with the boys. I'm glad he has something he loves so much and I totally support him but normally I miss him during baseball season. With him coaching freshman the games are earlier so I'm hoping maybe we'll have a bit more time during the week together. My goal this season is to be better about meal planning and preparing so we're not eating out as much as previous years

20 Weeks-Halfway There!
How far along? 20 Weeks 1 day
Size of baby? The length of a cantaloupe-about 6 1/2 inches and about 10 1/2 ounces
Total weight gain: None (I really haven't grown much which is why I haven't posted any baby bump pics-I just look like I've got a little chubby in my stomach)
Maternity clothes? Just a few things here and there mainly because I'm tired of my clothes. Today is the first morning that my work pants felt just a bit tighter than I like but not enough to have to unbutton them
Stretch marks? None, my skin has been itching so much that I've been trying to keep it hydrated as much as possible
Sleep: Great
Best moment this past week: Yesterday morning Riley ended up in bed with me before work. As I was laying with her cuddled up next to me asleep with her hand cupping my face, baby started kicking. It was a sweet moment with my two girls :)
Miss Anything? Not really
Movement: I've been able to feel her more throughout the day. Tony got to feel her for the first time on his birthday last Friday and again last night in bed.
Food cravings: I know I had something different one night this week but I can't think of what it is. Fresh fruit always sounds so good to me
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really. I forgot to take my pills to help with morning sickness a few nights ago and if it hadn't been for a stupid coughing fit I think I would have gone all day without feeling at all sick
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: Nothing really
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: A bit of both. On Monday I had a pregnancy moment where I totally started crying for really no reason
Looking forward to: Seeing how Riley is with baby girl
NOT Looking forward to: I can't really think of anything right now
This past weekend we got to spend as a family, it was a long weekend. On Saturday we went on a hike and it was so fun to see Riley on it. She took her time when she walked on her own and had fun in the water and dirt. I love seeing her experience new things. She is so curious all the time and she's learning more and more every day. Her vocabulary continues to grow and we've been working on her using her words more instead of getting frustrated. She's very short tempered and impatient-not a good combination. She'll get upset as she realizes what she is trying to do won't work and then have a ridiculous melt down. We've been struggling with how to help her deal with her frustrations. She also throws major fits anytime she doesn't get her way. So we've taken to putting her in time out where we just set her up against the wall in the living room and tell her not to move. It doesn't normally take too long for her to calm down and it seems to be helping a bit.
We moved her into her toddler bed 2 weeks ago and she's doing pretty good for the most part. A few nights Tony or I have had to put her down a second time and we'll just lay next to her bed pretending to be asleep(or in my case actually fall asleep) and she'll fall asleep in a few minutes. The main problem we've been having(and I'll take this over other issues we could be having!) is in the morning once she wakes up she realizes she can get out of bed so she'll stand or lay at the door and just knock and say "mommy" over and over. That would be fine if it was at the normal time she should get up, but it's over an hour before she should wake up(this morning it was 2 hours). Not sure how we're going to work on that but hopefully we'll figure something out soon.
Riley absolutely LOVES babies. She loves her baby dolls and she especially loves putting them to sleep. She rocks them in her rocker, and bounces them to get them to stop crying and shushes them, then she lays them on her pillow, pulls the blanket off and says "SHHH! BABY SLEEPING!" She normally closes her door and looks so proud of herself. Tony asked her in the car the other day to put her baby to sleep and I guess she started kind of yelling at him so he turned the music down and she said "Shh! Baby sleeping!" so he turned the music up again to see if that's what she meant and she did the same thing! She's a little smarty pants
Riley loves "wash hands" and by that she also means washing dishes. She'll pull the kitchen chairs up to the sink if we let her and she'll just stand there and rinse dishes for as long as we'll let her.
She loves coloring with pen, really doesn't care about the colored pencils she has. Also loves her bath crayons. I'm sure she'd love coloring with crayons but she chews them so we don't give them to her. I read that she should be starting to make shapes and not just scribble-I don't see that happening quite yet
We've been reading more books which is fun but I'm getting tired of the same ones over and over. I've also been trying to teach her "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" and she thinks is the funniest thing, but she won't do it herself even though she knows all those body parts. She ends up just hitting my shoulders and singing random words. It's pretty adorable though
Right now Riley loves Mickey "Nouse" and would watch it constantly if we let her. She also love The Incredibles "Ibles" is how Riley pronounces it. She loves all things Frozen but doesn't really want to watch the movie now(which I'm sure Tony is grateful for).
She is so much fun right now and I absolutely love her! I think we'll keep her around :)

19 Weeks
How far along? 19 weeks 2 days
Size of baby? A large tomato-about 6 inches and about 9 ounces
Total weight gain: None
Maternity clothes? Same
Stretch marks? None
Sleep: If it wasn't for this stupid cold it would be great-I keep having coughing fits in the middle of the night.
Best moment this past week: Seeing baby girl during our ultrasound! It was fun seeing her have her hands up by her face and be able to see and feel her punching and kicking
Miss Anything? Not really pregnancy wise-I miss not being sick!
Movement: I feel her a few times a day
Food cravings: I can't really think of anything that I've really been craving this week-a hot fudge sundae sounds good, but I wouldn't really call that a craving
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just this cold is making the bit of morning sickness I still have worse. I accidently forgot to take my pills Friday night so Saturday I threw up-I'm not quite ready to go without them
Gender: Girl-much to Tony's disappointment, no stems grew by this ultrasound-we're really having another girl!
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: Some morning sickness still and a little bit of back pain this week. Mainly this cold is just kicking my butt
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: A bit of both
Looking forward to: Having Tony be able to feel baby girl kick, it's not strong enough now.
NOT Looking forward to: I can't really think of anything right now
This past week has been pretty good minus sickness hitting our house hard. I think we're all on the mend though which is great!
Today is Tony's birthday-26! We went out for a nice dinner last night just the two of us. We went to The Rib and Chop House-so good! I don't know if we'll be doing anything else or not this weekend to celebrate. He's working on a baseball field so he'll be doing that and my parents are coming through briefly. Then we have Monday off so we're going to go on an adventure with Riley!
We move Riley into a toddler bed last Saturday and she's been doing awesome! She had one night that we think she had a nightmare that I ended up in the spare room with her, and one morning I went to wake her up to her being asleep in front of the door. But she's been doing way better than I thought she would at this point-praying she keeps it up!

Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: Morning sickness and back pain
Belly Button in or out? In.

Looking forward to: My ultrasound on Tuesday :) It's our big anatomy one so that'll be exciting!
NOT Looking forward to: I can't really think of anything right now
This past week has been pretty good for the most part. It's been crazy busy at work and stressful but the week is almost over! I spent Wednesday at home with Riley because we've both been sick. She did really good and I'm so happy when I get to spend so much time with her without the freak outs. She continues to amaze me every day. She's been extra sweet when she doesn't feel well. We've been working on teaching her "Head, Shoulder, Knees and Toes" and she thinks it's so funny! She'll just start singing and hitting my shoulders after I do it. She knows most of her body parts so it normally just turns into her pointing to different parts and saying what they are.
This morning she really melted my heart. I've been really bad at saying our prayers in the morning but we always say them at night. Well when I gave her her breakfast I went to go get mine ready, when I sat down she was just sitting with her arms folded with a huge grin waiting to say the prayer! It definitely taught me that I need to be a better example to her. In the course of our short little breakfast we said 3 prayers together-how can you say no to her folding her cute little arms!! The last one she finally started to repeat and say our prayer after me :) she's learning and I am so grateful for her sweet little spirit in our lives!
