Three months

Our little princess is three months old! She is so cute and so much fun! She smiles and laughs all the time. To me she seems the happiest in the morning right after getting up. 

Here are some of her highlights from the past month:

-holds onto her shirt/onesie and pulls it up to her mouth

-she's turning from her stomach to back!! As of 8/1

-I think she may have a birth mark on her side going around her back and a small circle one on the back of her thigh

-8/6- I laid her on our bed and kneeled over her so she could see my face and I was singing to her when she started singing with me!

-started to fake cry, but it almost always turns into a real cry

-daddy was out of town at the beginning of the month so it was just the two of us. She was up every hour from 2 am til 9, then slept for 2 hours and was so so happy

-consistently sleeps through the night 

-make faces

-moves into size one diapers

-doesn't suck her thumb, sucks her pointer finger or sometimes all her fingers. She'll stick them in so far it makes her gag

-got cradle cap 8/15

-she'll cry in her sleep so I'll think she's up but by the time I get to her room she's out

-8/17 turned from back to stomach 

-8/24-blew out at library. She goes poo so infrequently and had gone right before we left so I thought she'd be fine until we got back so I didn't bring a diaper or anything. We walked down and as soon as we got there and I picked a couple books she blew out the side of her diaper. Tony was at work so I couldn't have him pick us up. So I ran(as out of shape as I am) home. Somehow she managed to miss her entire outfit.

-talks when I read books

-loves the bath and splashing

-we held her out in the rain and she was so confused at what was going on

-loves being held above our heads

-she'll squeal if she really likes something

-gets in the bath between 7:30-8, eats by 8:30 and in bed right after. She normally wakes up as I'm putting her down but she puts herself back to sleep.

-normally sleeps until about 6 but the past few nights she's also gotten up between 4-5. She will sometimes go back to sleep after I feed her before leaving for work.

-not too consistent when she takes naps

-weighs 13 lbs 12 oz, 26 inches long. Such a little chunk!!!!

She is such a good baby. We are so blessed and we love her so much!!

Update

The past couple weeks have been pretty great. Tony had an unexpected opportunity come up. He had been struggling with his job because the people he worked for didn't respect or treat their employees well. He had been wanting to look for another job when his best friend called him to see if he was interested in a full time position. Tony had an interview a couple days later and got the job! He does delivery for the boulevard, which is a big furniture company here. He seems to enjoy it so far. His schedule allows him to spend a lot of time with Riley which is great! We're hoping this is a good fit for our family! We're really grateful for it. I also got a raise which we are pretty excited about. 

Riley has been so much fun recently! He sleeps through the night most nights(if not she'll wake up once to eat for a few minutes and go right back to sleep). She also puts herself to sleep every night. She is such a happy baby too! I love going in her room to get her in the morning because she just gives me a huge grin! She melts my heart! She smiles all the time and laughs a lot! I can't get enough of her. I'll post some pictures and next week I'll do an update on her 3rd month
