Still Pregnant

how far along? 39 weeks 5 days

total weight gain: 30

maternity clothes? Mixed with regular clothes.

stretch marks? They've multiplied...terrible

sleep: Still sleeping great. I wake up once during the night to go to the bathroom, but then I fall right back asleep. I've been really lucky

best moment this week: Spending the afternoon/evening with Tony yesterday

miss anything? My stomach not aching all the time

movement: She still moves a bunch

food cravings: Anything sweet. I've had bad acid reflux recently and dairy is really the only thing that has helped me...so ice cream always sounds good

anything making you queasy or sick:Not really

labor signs: I've had a lot of contractions, but they always stop :(

symptoms: My stomach has been aching a lot this week. And sometimes she'll press right up against my cervix so it sends a shooting pain...not so fun

happy or moody most of the time: I feel like I've been more moody this past week. And I've been more emotional....not cool.

So I didn't update last week, which probably was a good thing. At my appointment last week I'd dilated to a bit more than a 4 and the dr stripped my membranes again. He told me that she'd come that day or the next day. Well here I am a week later and still pregnant! Honestly I think I would have been okay with still being pregnant if my dr's wouldn't keep getting my hopes up. I kept telling myself that she could very well stay until her due date or past, but when dr's tell you something like that it's hard not to get at least somewhat excited.
I keep having a bunch of contractions, but they weren't very consistent. The dr told me that if my water broke, if I started bleeding or if my contractions were about 5 minutes apart then to go to the hospital and they wouldn't send me home. I was just praying that my contractions would get closer together. A few months ago Tony and I made a guess of when the baby would come. My guess was Sunday the 19th. Sunday morning came around and we decided to go on a walk before church. I started having consistent contractions about 9 minutes apart. By the time we went to church and got done with sacrament meeting they were 7 minutes apart and pretty uncomfortable. When we got home they were back to 9 minutes apart and they just stopped :( The rest of the day came and went with a few contractions but nothing consistent. So I lost that bet.
Tony's guess is today....we'll see if she decides to make us both lose or not.
I'd read that my dr's would induce after 39 weeks. We're making a trip to San Diego soon after the baby is born and we were hoping to have until her 2 week check up at home before driving down to SD. So we decided that we'd discuss with my dr about having them break my water in the next few days. At my appointment this morning they said they won't until 41 weeks(just about a week before our trip). So unless this little girl comes on her own, I have 9 more days of waiting. I'd dilated a little bit more and the dr stripped my membranes for the 3 times. I'm trying hard to be patient and I know she'll come when she's ready, but it's hard to be patient when the dr's keep telling me she'll come early. I have 2 more days until my due date, I sure hope she comes before then.
I'm still working fulltime. Yesterday I took off a few hours early because we've slowed down a bit. I have a hard time sitting at work for 8 1/2 hours a day when my stomach aches. But I don't want to start my maternity leave and then the baby not come for another week. I'm just hoping she comes soon!!
